Elphick on his way to Bournemouth
League One outfit Bournemouth are close to agreeing a deal to land Brighton & Hove Albion defender Tommy Elphick.
The Cherries look to have beaten off competition from Portsmouth for the 24-year-old who has been out for more than a season with a serious injury but recovered to play a part in pre-season.
The former Albion player of the year is now bellow Gordon Greer, Lewis Dunk and Adam El Abd in the Amex pecking order and looks set to follow former Seagulls centre back Steve Cook down the south coast.
