"We are bitterly disappointed as a club to learn that the FA Alliance League’s Committee have today approved the resolutions sought by the National League that ultimately result in Step 2 being declared Null and Void for the season. They have also rejected proposals, supported by our club, for an alternative sporting resolution to the current season. As such this strange but exciting season has ultimately come to a close.

"Despite its premature end, this season will live long in the memories for a great many reasons. During a global pandemic, Danny, his staff, and the team have given us one of the best seasons the club has had for many a year on the pitch.

"Off the pitch our staff have worked tirelessly alongside our army of volunteers to ensure that the club has been able to come in and out of lockdowns safely and securely with every allowable aspect of the club operating as fully as possible. We have had memorable cup runs for both senior and youth teams.

"We have made new friends and we have worked hard to play our part in keeping community spirits high. Our army of fans have been tremendous in supporting the club and engaging in all possible ways to keep that bond strong.

"We cannot end this season with sadness as we have so much as a club to be proud of. We also have much to look forward to with the imminent return of our youth section, holiday courses to hold, and a brand new look clubhouse to re-open.

"We will get over the disappointment of this premature end to the season and will continue stronger than ever as One Club, One Community."
