Sports journalist Jack Butler was at the game and he has rated the players and once again the best player on the pitch (by some distance) was Crawley’s keeper Glenn Morris.
5. Tom Dallison – 6
Impressed with a few neat touches, but it was a quiet night for the full-back as most of Orient’s attacks came down the other side. A lot more good moments than bad, though.
6. Jake Hessenthaler – 5
Looked a bit lost out on the right, as Yems tried to accommodate in Maguire-Drew’s absence. However, he was unable to find the creativity Crawley needed, only showing glimpses when moved more centrally in the second half. Admittedly, he was absolutely clattered for Orient’s red card.
7. Josh Wright – 7
Energetic. He runs and runs. Wright didn't stop; he was everywhere. Of the out-field players, he was the best on the pitch. Impressively, when the ex-Orient man won the ball, he rarely gave it away. A solid performance.
8. Jack Powell - 6
Won the penalty early on, with a great late run into the box. Questions will be asked as to why we didn’t see him break into the box on more occasions. Decent deliveries from corners, that deserved a better end product.
