Common were due to host Langney Wanderers in Macron Store Southern Combination Football League Division One, but the match has been postponed due to a floodlight problem.

Smoke came out of one of the floodlight pylons at Little Common Recreation Ground prior to last Wednesday’s game against Bexhill United before being extinguished during the first half. The floodlight remained switched off, although the match was completed.

The pylon won’t be fixed in time for tomorrow’s match so it will be played at a later date. Common hope the problem will be sorted by the end of the week. Last Friday’s scheduled under-21 game against Eastbourne United AFC was also postponed.

Common are up to third in the table having won their last four league matches, the latest of which was a 1-0 success at home to Saltdean United on Saturday. Jamie Crone scored the all-important goal after just five minutes.
