Mike Booth’s late strike earned Westfield a 1-1 draw from a Sussex County Football League Division Two fixture away to Haywards Heath Town which ended 10-a-side.

Westfield won a penalty shoot-out on their last visit to Hanbury Park back in October after a Parafix Sussex Senior Cup first round tie between the clubs ended 5-5 at the end of extra-time.

A repeat of such high scoring drama never looked on the cards, though, during a first half of precious little goalmouth incident. There was more to talk about in the second period and Heath got their noses in front through Jamie Wanstall in the 57th minute.

Both sides had a player sent-off in the same incident with Jethro Warren seeing red for Westfield. The visitors earned a share of the spoils thanks to Booth’s goal in the closing 10 minutes.
