Blooming Rose does it again
The recent signing from Sidley United headed home a Danny Ellis corner to give the Quarterboys only their second victory in eight matches.
It was Rose’s second crucial goal in the space of 48 hours after netting a stoppage time equaliser in the 2-2 draw away to his former club on Monday night.

Arundel equalised from a 62nd minute free kick, but Rye went three up-front in search of a winner and got their reward thanks to man of the moment Rose.
Rye manager Scott Price said: “We just needed a win. They seemed to have plenty of energy today. Rosey’s the one player in the team who will attack the ball.”
Rye (3-5-2): Pelling; Ramsay, Tuppenney, Richardson; Woodley, Ellis, Dixon, Franklin (Cooper 85), Cole; Buay (Rose 71), Leach (Radley 90+1). Subs not used: D. Clarke, D. Bourne.
A full report will appear in tomorrow’s Rye Observer.
Rye have received a walkover in tonight’s Reserve Section (East) fixture at home to Pease Pottage Village. Sidley United will entertain Little Common in the same division from 7.45pm.
