After seven successive away matches in all competitions, the Pirates will finally play at their own ground as Eastbourne United AFC visit The Polegrove in Sussex County Football League Division Two.

Kenny McCreadie has been looking forward to his first home fixture as Bexhill manager. He said: “It’s the first time I’ve ever been involved in football that five weeks down the line I’ve finally got my first home game.”

Bexhill will go into the match still smarting from their last gasp 5-4 defeat at Loxwood on Saturday in a fixture where they led 2-0 and 4-3. That result ended a four-game unbeaten run and left them with eight points from six outings.

Eastbourne are quite possibly the team to beat in the division this season having won all of their first four games and knocked Ryman Division One South side Herne Bay out of the FA Cup. Kick-off is 7.45pm.

Hastings United’s under-21 team, meanwhile, lost 2-0 at home to its Maidstone United counterparts last night with both goals coming during the first half.
