EP hit eight to slaughter Saltdean

A TRIP to Conference South Eastbourne Borough awaited the victors and East Preston FC emphatically made sure they would make the trip to Priory Lane in the Senior Cup second round.

Eight different EP players were on target and it was the club's biggest win since they won 6-0 at Shoreham in April, 2004.

EP manager Chris White said: "We played very well and I felt a bit sorry for Saltdean because they never gave up. It was men against boys at times.

"It sets us up with a good platform for the rest of the season."

It was the first time EP had named the same starting XI all season and they were in front after 15 minutes. Des Guile headed home James Virgo's cross but Saltdean were level on 32 minutes.
