EAST PRESTON NOT UP TO THE MARK

EAST PRESTON were left to rue a poor first half performance which left them 2-0 down against relegation-threatened Peacehaven at Piddinghoe Avenue on Saturday.

Aaron MacMillan could have opened the scoring for Peacehaven on 28 minutes but wasted his opportunity. However, it did not take him long to make amends '” just nine minutes '” when he unleashed an unstoppable shot from 18 yards which the EP defence should have closed down quicker.

On 40 minutes, Peacehaven added a second. Keith Mtambara delivered a cross-shot and Jon Donaghue headed home from 10 yards.

Sean Duffy's long range effort was all EP could muster in the opening half.
