The St Leonards cueman completes the line-up for the 888casino Champion of Champions at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry from November 19-24.

Davis booked his place as the highest ranked player not to have already qualified following the conclusion of last week’s Indian Open. He has climbed to number 13 in the world having shown the best form of his career over the past two years.

The 41-year-old joins group A and will have to overcome Ronnie O’Sullivan if he is to make it to the group final. Ding Junhui and Barry Hawkins will contest the other group A match.

The tournament features 16 of the world’s top players - including Shaun Murphy, Mark Selby, John Higgins and Stephen Maguire - and carries a £270,000 prize-fund with £100,000 going to the winner. It will be broadcast live throughout on ITV4.
