Park closing in on league title

Paul Lindfield has called on promotion-chasing Crowhurst Park to “keep doing what they’re doing” after opening up a 30-point lead.

With four rounds of fixtures remaining, Park are big favourites to finish top in Sussex Cricket League Division Three (East).

Last time out, Park collected maximum points against Hellingly, while their two main rivals - Crawley and Lewes Priory - both lost ground.

“Confidence is good, team morale is great, we are just playing really well,” said Park skipper Lindfield, pictured. “We’re doing what we are supposed to do.”

The Crows will be looking to tighten their grip on that one promotion spot when they host third-from-bottom Henfield tomorrow (Saturday).

“We’d like four wins but realistically if we can get two good wins and two draws we should do it,” Lindfield went on. Dale Bryant is unavailable for the next two weeks so Nick Peters takes his place.
