Park to attack top two clash

Leaders Crowhurst Park will be gunning for a potential title-defining victory when they visit their closest challengers in Sussex Cricket League Division Three (East).

Park intend to stick with the positive approach which has served them so well at Lewes Priory tomorrow (Saturday).

“We will play our game and go there to try and win. That’s what we are all about,” said skipper Paul Lindfield. “If we try and change we’re not going to help ourselves. We are playing to win.”

Park remain 30 points clear at the summit after the top four all won last weekend and with only three rounds of fixtures remaining, they are very definitely in the box seat.

Lindfield, however, is taking nothing for granted. “Thirty points seems a lot but it really isn’t. There are 30 points for a win and we’ve got three games left so that’s 90 points. It’s so close but it can still be taken away from you.”

As well as Lewes, who Lindfield says “cannot be taken for granted”, the other two teams in the mix for the one promotion place are Ansty and Crawley.
