A star-studded Lashings side containing a whole host of international caps will be heading to the Walcott Ground in Telham for the first time on Sunday June 28.

The latest squad announced by Lashings is made up of current or former international cricketers from six different countries.

It includes England quintet Devon Malcolm, Alex Tudor, Philip DeFreitas, John Emburey and Mark Ealham.

Also in are New Zealand duo Grant Elliott and Iain O’Brien, West Indian pace bowler Tino Best, Pakistani all-rounder Yasir Arafat, Indian opening batsman Wasim Jaffer and Ireland ace Niall O’Brien.

In fact, Elliott - who is playing for the Kiwis in the current one day international series against England - and O’Brien - who represented Ireland at the World Cup earlier this year - will be making their Lashings debuts against Park in a T20 match which is due to begin at around 3pm.

Park’s team will be captained by Paul Brookes and will combine experienced players, including the return of Victor Walcott, with young talent.

Before the match, more than 300 people will be entertained at the VIP luncheon with Lashings players, who will also deliver special coaching sessions.

What’s more, there will be a pre-match junior tournament involving six clubs and Park are expecting around 1,000 people to attend during the course of the day.

Park are grateful to matchday sponsor Bartletts Seat.
