COURSE RECORD FOR GARY

"I SAID that on a good day, putting well, somebody could shoot a 59 on our course. Unfortunately, I bogeyed three holes and got a 60 but it still beat my course record."

Rustington Golf Centre's Gary Salt after breaking his own club course-record by three shots. He had shot 63 in June 2003 when he broke Shaun Parker's 66, set earlier in the same year.

Salt, 33, was playing in a Rustington club competition '” The Summer Cup round six when he finished the round with 60 '” 10 under par for the course and he came home on the back nine seven-under. In total, he shot three eagles and seven birdies.
