BROUWER TON DEFEATS EP

EAST PRESTON are the latest team to be undone by Southwater's South African all-rounder Johann Brouwer. On Saturday, Brouwer cracked his fourth hundred of the season '” at a standard of cricket which is obviously far too low for him.

Without him, stand-in EP captain Simon Locke felt the game would have been an even contest, but Brouwer's 100 came in just 57 balls to deliver Southwater an eight wicket victory.

Locke said: "Someone said that he plays cricket for a provincial team in South Africa and he is far too good for this standard. He scored his hundred in no time and ended with eight fours and eight sixes."
