All set for action-packed season

A FINE 25-1 win by Safari Adventures at Folkestone on February 13 has signalled that Plaistow trainer Peter Winkworth has his jump horses in good fettle at present '“ and more wins can be expected from Robin's Farm Stables.

Anton Pearson is in charge of the string, which now has an even number of flat and National Hunt horses, and has expanded considerably during the last year.

There are now 54 horses in training at Robin's Farm where a third American barn houses an additional 18 horses in a splendid state-of-the art facility.

The building will also incorporate two new tack rooms, laundry, canteen and staff rest room.

Some additional land, on which there is already planning permission for a third all-weather gallop, is currently being purchased.

This will provide a straight five furlongs up the hill, providing a good test for flat horses and jumpers alike and construction is expected to start in early May.
