Anyone who would like to try a spot of fitness fun while raising funds for St Michael’s Hospice is invited to head on down to Hastings Pier this Saturday (June 17) for the first ever Zumbathon party.
The unique event will be in two parts commencing at 2pm for children who either attend Zumba classes or are complete beginners and want to try Zumba for the first time. Registration for children is £5 or £11.50 including a t-shirt.
The Zumba fun continues 3-5pm with non-stop dancing at the adult party. Registration is £7.50 and Zumba vest tops are £12.50.
A hospice spokesperson says Zumba is a fun way to keep fit, adding: “This Zumbathon will be in a friendly, supportive, fun atmosphere and suitable for all levels so no previous experience is required.
“Leading the fun is qualified Zumba instructor, Rebecca Tompkins. Rebecca is taking time out of her busy schedule as head of Funk Fusion Fitness to host the Zumbathon, giving up her valuable time to help raise much-needed funds for the Hospice. Thank you Rebecca!
“We encourage each participant (children and adults alike) to raise as much sponsorship as possible.
“All proceeds from the event will go to St Michael’s Hospice so taking part is a fantastic way to help a great cause while keeping fit. So come on show your support – sign up today.
“Why not ask family, friends and colleagues to sign up too!”
