Bus companies, train companies and even supermarkets and shops seem to think that in the winter when it is cold people go out of their houses dressed in skimpy summer clothes to avail themselves of these services and appreciate the heat provided.
No – all dress appropriately in warm clothing so that entering these services one begins to sweat and must resist the urge to strip off ( I do when I can).
In heated buses with the sun shining low through the windows in winter the greenhouse effect I am sure could grow tropical fruit.
Have you noticed that bus drivers and supermarket staff are in winter mostly dressed in short-sleeved shirts or something similar?
One might say ‘but what about the stationary staff?’
Well they could dress appropriately, or have individually controllable heat arrangements.
What is all this superfluous heat doing to our energy requirements, carbon emissions etc?
