Has the law on street drinking been changed?

Everyday without fail drinkers congregate in the bus shelter outside the Banardo’s charity shop.

They also ignore the no smoking sign in the shelter.

People find this most intimidating along with the fact they have to wait for the bus outside the shelter.

Apart from the drinking their language leaves a lot to be desired.

Only once in the past seven days have they been moved on by two PCSOs.

When Nick (the now retired PC) patrolled the town centre this did not happen, these people knew better than to hang about in the shelter.

Whilst I appreciate the police force are stretched this cannot nor should be allowed to continue, so through this paper I ask what are the police and council going to do about it.
