We couldn’t do it without support

I would just like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to everyone involved in making the ‘Nearly on the Beach Concert’ such an amazing success.

I am not sure if it is widely known that everyone involved from the organising committee to the bands, stewards and collectors (in fact everyone) ALL gave their services and time for free and without them this charity fundraising event could not take place.

I would also like to thank all our sponsors including our main supporter Osbourne Energy along with The FILO, Priory Meadow, Skinners Sheds, Flamingo Amusement Park and French’s Skip Hire and to all the others who generously donated cash, supplies or their services for free or at cost as without their kind support it would not have been possible to resurrect this concert which has always been held at the start of Old Town Carnival Week.

Finally, I want to thank everyone who gave so generously to our collectors over the weekend and am delighted to say that the collection this year looks like it will be the best ever at the concert and we still have the profits from the bar, BBQ, T-shirts (still on sale at Cobblers to the Old Town) and candy floss to come in so we are thrilled to announce that this year we will be able to support not only Hastings RNLI but also make donations to Pett Level Rescue Boat and the Sea Cadets.

We will announce full details of the donations once the accounts are finalised.

Thank you everyone.
