Top marks for Conquest visit

In the present situation with the NHS, I wanted to share something really positive and to thank the Conquest Hospital’s A&3/resuscitation department.

On February 5, I tripped on a paving slab coming down my front path and fell headlong into the door jam, sustaining a four-inch cut on my forehead. My wife dialled 999 and within five minutes, Steve – a paramedic – arrived and dealt with the situation in a clam, efficient and friendly way.

I was taken to A&E and was seen immediately. They were all excellent. Dr Barbara put in 13 stitches, totally pain free.

The whole experience was first class. The stitches have now been taken out, totally pain free again, I’m told due to the expert stitching.

The A&E experience could not have been more efficient and friendly. Top marks to the Conquest’s A&E/resuscitation department.

We must maintain the NHS and support it by all the means that we can.

The government should have ‘supporting the NHS’ as their top priority and must rectify the situation immediately money wise, and with incentives for more doctors and nurses training.

Thank you again to the Conquest resuscitation department.
