This road scheme is more about buildings

I AM against £30million of taxpayers’ money going towards constructing the Bexhill-Hastings link road.

It is now clear to everyone that the scheme is more about buildings than relieving congestion.

More development means more empty business sites and more people moving into the area who will very possibly be unemployed.

Our local MPs should be concentrating on the more important problems in the Bexhill and Hastings areas.

We have the worst rail systems from both towns to London on the whole of the south coast.

Main roads from London to our area need upgrading, and bypasses constructed.

Our local roads are so bad that one stands a good chance of damaging the car suspension or injuring oneself walking on the pavements in our town.

Will someone inform our MPs and East Sussex County Council that more businesses will not be encouraged to come to our area unless the infrastructure is put into place.
