Thanks to the people of Hastings

I WOULD like to say a huge thank you to the people of Hastings who turned out for all us runners on Sunday.

Outside of London, I have never seen support like it at a race, and I was especially cheered by the various forms of percussion – bongo drums and saucepans included – and the many groups of people handing out orange segments, sweets and drinks.

Although my legs may have gone by the time I got to the promenade, the cheers helped me get over the line.

Thank you Hastings residents, you are a credit to your town.
