Thanks for the help with Pirate Day

As the organiser of Hastings Pirate Day I would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed towards the success of the day.

It was a true community event with East Sussex Fire Brigade, The RNLI, Hastings Borough Bonfire Society, Hastings Fishermen, the police, the Observer, Arrow FM and Hannington-Gilbert and Co Ltd giving great support.

I would like also to thank Hastings Borough Council, as every department I contacted was very helpful and made organising the event easier.

Thanks to John Hough and Priory Meadow, Town Centre Management, and the High Street traders who supported the day fully as ever and special thanks to Nikki Parker and Emily King.

But most of all the biggest thanks must go to all those thousands of pirates who came together last Friday to ensure that Hastings still remains the ‘Pirate Capital of the World’.
