Teachers helped dream come true

I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to the teachers of Ark 6th Form and Ark William Parker Academy.

My son came here and started school at William Parker in 2012.

English is not his first language, there were mountains in front of him - language barrier, the difference between Eastern and Western Education systems - we had no confidence.

But the teachers did not abandon him, they gave him help as much as they could. My son got better GCSE results than we expected.

Two years later, he went on his A-level courses at Ark 6th Form.

Actually his good GCSE results gave him more choices to choose different schools, but he decided to stay with these excellent teachers, their encouragement and persistence have taught him so much.

Even though top Russell Group universities are too far to reach for us, to study at a top university is a dream for Jiakun, but now his dream has come true.

My son will go to Imperial College London to study Medicine.

We are so proud of the outstanding results he has achieved.

Thank you teachers, for all the extra efforts you made to help him develop, and the challenges you encouraged him to face to help him become who he is.

Both his and your hard work have paid off, we couldn’t ask for more.

We pay admiration and respect that you deserve.

Words are not enough to say thank you to all staff members of Ark 6th Form and Ark William Parker, especially Mrs Parsons, Mr C Doherty, Mr A Baker, Mr L Smallman and Mr Olorunda.

He couldn’t achieve so much without your kindness hard work and dedications.

Ark William Park Academy should be proud to have so many wonderful teachers.

Thank you to everyone who has helped and supported Jiakun over the last few years.
