Still waiting for an answer

HAVING tried to ring Hastings Borough Council’s Information Centre last Monday regarding the concessionary bus pass, I was greeted with the recorded message that ‘all operators were busy and please hold’.

This was followed up by monotonous non-descript music - so obscure, that royalties need not have to be paid.

After 25 minutes, I then tried the town hall switchboard with the same result, including music.

Could I therefore suggest changing the council answerphone response to ‘Please don`t call us - as we do not intend to answer you - Thank you and good day’.
