Staff care so good despite bad press

I AM writing to you regarding my stay in the Conquest.

It has had so much bad press lately and I would like to share with everyone my very positive experience. I recently had a hysterectomy under the care of Mr Zaide, an extremely competent surgeon. He did an amazing job and treated me under the NHS with respect and kindness.

I was sent to Mirrlees ward where the care was second to none. The staff were friendly and caring and the ward and facilities were spotless.

They cannot do enough for the patients under their care. The food was good and I, being vegetarian, was well catered for.

I have only lived in the UK for four years and my past experiences of hospitals were in southern Ireland, where I always had private health care. I would choose the Conquest Hospital over any of the private hospitals I have stayed in.

I am sorry for those of you who have had bad experiences in the Conquest but for me, I thank the staff there from the bottom of my heart.
