Railway noise... don’t forget us

WE live in Hurrell Road above the railway where the works are on going.

We know that this is important, but at no time were we notified that the works would be 24/7 and the noise at night is mostly unacceptable. In the article about the works in last week’s paper, a Ms Taylor wanted to thank their passengers for their patience during the work. What about us the residents, though? We don’t get a second thought. Are rail companies exempt from normal noise regulations or do they think they are above the law?
