I was shopping in the Sedlescombe Road Sainsbury’s this morning with my five-month-old daughter who was quite unsettled.
I took the decision to breastfeed her whilst shopping as I was a little short of time and she was clearly hungry.
I was approached as I neared the checkout by one of the employees, Donna, who asked if I need any help.
She very kindly carried three large boxes of cider to the checkout for me and then asked me to take a seat while she loaded the conveyor belt and packed all of the shopping for me.
Another colleague, Mel, told me how lovely it was to see someone breastfeeding their baby which really did make my day, and the manager, Theresa, came over to ask if I would like a cup of tea.
After I paid for the shopping, Donna took it to my car and even loaded it into the boot for me.
I was overwhelmed by the kindness and positivity shown towards me by the Sainsbury’s staff today and feel that they should be recognised for making what could have been a very stressful situation easy and stress free.
Thank you so much!
