Plant poppies in memory of fallen

JUST a thought...

The War Memorial in the park looks quite sad at the moment with only one cross and four poppies commemorating our war heroes.

Why don’t Park and Gardens sprinkle hundreds of wild poppy seeds over the ground around the memorial, so that by the summer we would have a vast spread of colour to admire and see? This would surely enhance the area and help to remember and celebrate our fallen heroes.

It’s a small price to pay for something that would mean so much to many, especially with the WWI celebrations taking place all over Europe, we need to do something simple but affective.
