No wonder it is out of touch

In a sub article ‘Faith Matters’ appearing under an article from the Bishop of Horsham in your issue of March 18, readers are urged to look out for what is happening in their local churches.

The article then goes on to mention events at Petworth, Lewes and Shoreham, adding that many churches from Angmering to Cuckfield to West Wittering are holding daily services.

With the sole exception of Lewes, to reach any of these places by car involves at least an hour’s journey and by public transport, very much longer.

Is it any wonder that the Church of England is out of touch with reality?
