More cars driving without headlights

AM I right in assuming that headlights are no longer a necessity in our town?

I am sure I am not the only one to notice the increasing number of vehicles and push bikes without headlights.

On Tuesday I drove from my house in Priory Road to Horntye Park and back.

I counted a total of 78 vehicles; no less than 23 of these had only one working headlight; of the 23, nine were taxis and one was a police car.

As well as the vehicles, I saw about eight youths on bikes, dressed in black, with no lights. Is this not illegal?

Why are these motorists not challenged and what would happen if one of the youths was knocked off his bike as he weaved in and out of the cars with no lights?

The poor motorist will be the one to suffer and have their car damaged.

Come on, Sussex Police, don’t tell me you haven’t noticed.
