I write in relation to an article in last week’s Observer (November 11) about children in poverty in Hastings – living in a deprived area.

Hastings’ property prices are one of the highest in the country. Londoners are moving here rapidly, some buying second homes – restaurants are full even on weekdays.

Is it one rule for the rich and one for the poor? Come on Hastings, let’s get rid of child poverty.

Charities better get their begging bowls out for Children in Need – ours.
