Land fill should be out in the sticks

AS a resident from Pebsham who has had to suffer seagulls for the last thirty years, I sympathise with Mrs Steadman and her neighbours.

The simple solution is to close the Pebsham land-fill site. The tip is now almost full to capacity and is limited in how much more it can take.

To avoid any future difficulties with the new tip East Sussex County Council (ESCC) should select a site away from urban areas to a remote country area where there will be no ‘NIMBYs’ to protest. Surely this is common sense.

To develop a land-fill at Ashdown Brickworks will create many problems for the local population in the area.

Wake up ESCC and use a ‘Little Common’ sense.
