It was sheer joy to attend festival

I wish to express my thanks to those people who organised the Hastings Storytelling Festival.

I was fortunate enough to attend the wonderful afternoon session with Michael Morpurgo and Quentin Blake at Hastings College.

It was absolutely magical, entertaining and full of fun.

For me personally, it was sheer joy to see so many people of different ages and the children clutching their books and being totally engaged with the whole event. Michael Morpurgo is not only a brilliant writer, but a superb storyteller.

Special thanks to Sir Quentin Blake for inviting him and to other writers who came to make this year’s festival so successful. I am looking forward to next year’s event. A hard act to follow.
