Hiding station was genius move

May I congratulate all those responsible for the wonderful way in which traffic in the town centre has become grid locked.

Choosing to carry out major road works on heavily used roads in the town centre at the start of the school holidays must be classified as a stroke of genius.

Hiding the railway station, to baffle anybody coming into the town from away was another brilliant move.

So far as I can make out, it over ran its schedule – that, of course would come as no surprise. After all, road works are never expected to be completed on time.

On August 4 at approximately 9.30am not a workman was in sight to finish the work and get the roads open.
