Heritage prospect

I READ with great interest that it is hoped that William’s boats may be found at Wilting Farm, proving that Bulverhythe was the 1066 landing site.

If that is the case what a wonderful opportunity the Link Road offers as visitors and tourists will have a direct road to the upper part of William’s camp.

We would have a proper visitors’ centre, a musem, guided tours and a decent car park with direct access to the Link Road. I can already picture the tasteful sign on Queensway and on the Link Road, ‘Welcome to William’s 1066 Landing Site’.

Great for the area, great for tourists and great for the historians. Keep your fingers crossed, we do not want to miss this opportunity.
