I READ a few weeks ago about the problems with traffic turning right from Sedlescombe Road North into Battle Road.
It is one of the most frustrating things when driving, to wait in a queue at traffic lights, only for one car to get through.
Having looked at the road layout now that Asda is open it seems that this scenario happens quite a lot.
There is a simpler answer than widening the junction at the Sedlescombe Road North junction. That is to alter the lights sequence, allowing Sedlescombe Road North traffic to flow on its own thus ending the need for this traffic to wait for the cars from Sedlescombe Road South.
I would think that the cost of this would be far less than altering the junction.
