I’M sure I’m one of many hundreds of Hastings motorists (and cyclists) fed up with the state of the roads here in Hastings.
To name but a fraction, Bethune Road, St Helens Park Road, Dordrecht Way, and Holmsedale Gardens, are littered with potholes that make driving an eye-watering and potentially dangerous experience.
Yet what is being done to repair these roads? Does East Sussex Highways have a repair policy, for if it does it doesn’t seem to be clear, as these roads have been in this state for months.
Perhaps an open letter to your paper from the highways explaining their repair policy would at least let us know what is going on. after reporting a number of potholes, and asking for their policy I received a less than assuring reply.
