I visited the wine and fish festival at Bexhill and Hastings but I cannot understand why the Bexhill show is free and the Hastings show you have to pay.
It seems to me that our council likes to take the local residents for granted, not only do you have to pay for entry but also the car park fees are much more than Bexhill is free.
The stall holders informed me the rent to hire a space had gone up for the second year running.
Why is it that the council always kills the goose that lays the golden egg?
If this practice carries on it will kill this event – another event being jeopardised by this greedy council.
I expect when the pier opens the council will charge as much as they can to recuperate some of the money they have spent on the rebuilding we will wait and see with interest.
The town is bad enough with the large parking fees the town needs all the visitors they can get but the council sees other wise by grabbing every penny they can get, not only from the local residents but the visitors as well.
Has anyone seen the goose that lays the golden egg the council have?
Mr DR Grice
