Concern is four decades too late

From: Derek Stocker, Duke Street, Bexhill

I was most interested in Cllr Peter Chowney’s views on climate change (Hastings Observer 30/11/18) and am concerned that whereas other countries are at least trying to curb immigration, the UK seems to have had no control over it for decades and now are actively encouraging it.

Hence we are running short of schools and even housing space with green belt sites already under attack.

We also have plans now for ships to bring immigrants ashore from the English Channel in some kind of shuttle service between traffickers and the UK, so
that will encourage even
more people to risk their
lives to get to the “promised land” of Britain.

I think that being concerned about climate change, especially here in the UK, is about four decades or more too late.
