All the staff were kind and caring

I refer to Marilyn Glynn’s letter last week regarding the care her aunt received at St Paul’s Care Home.

I thoroughly endorse everything she said about the care given by the staff and previous manager, Linda Astell who left last March,to all of the residents of St Paul’s.

Care which was given with compassion, respect and humour.

My mother was a resident of St Paul’s for over eight years and like Marilyn Glynn I also visited several times a week. I never had one moment’s concern about her welfare or treatment during all that time.

I hope that all the kind and caring staff will not be discouraged by this report and will know that the residents and their families are grateful for the care they continue to give.

Sadly my mum passed away last week and I wonder if CQC have a box to tick to cover the fact that the staff of St Paul’s who cannot attend the funeral in person have asked for the funeral procession to pass by slowly so that they can stand and pay their respects to someone they counted as a friend.
