CHILDREN as young as two took to the stage to give a dazzling performance when Rye’s Splitz Dance Academy put on its recent Summer Show,
Routines included modern, tap, ballet, jazz, cheerleading and musical theatre with group numbers from every class as well as solos, duets and mini groups which children will now be performing in competitions in the near future.
Dance teacher Stacey Caister said: “From the very young who impressed with their confident rendition of Hungry Caterpillars and some fantastic acting and singing numbers from the Musical Theatre Group, right through to the older members modern, street and lyrical numbers, everyone had the chance to shine on stage and really enjoy performing to an audience.
“I was extremely proud of everyone who took part in the show which was a culmination of a lot of hard work from all involved.
“The students loved taking to the stage and seeing their smiles light up and hearing the comments of the parents afterwards, who were impressed with the progression of their children, shows all the hard work paid off.
“Splitz Dance Academy and all it’s pupils are now looking forward to the Musical Theatre Summer School which is held at Rye College from August 8 -12.
“Places are still available and anyone interested in taking part or would like to begin dance lessons at the school should please contact me on 07812452153, email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.splitzdanceacademy.co.uk.”
