"The BTEC First Diploma in Business is a challenging and demanding course for students and teachers alike," said Penny Mason, assistant lead teacher.

"It is delivered over six periods and is 100 per cent coursework based so students have to work consistently hard throughout the two-year course in order to achieve success.

"However for those boys who are prepared to work hard the rewards are high with a qualification equivalent to four GCSEs and a course that has prepared them well for their next steps in education or employment."

Year 10 and 11 pupils at CHSB took the Diploma in Digital Applications course which saw 94 per cent of pupils gain an A* to C grade which is worth one GCSE.
