Woman airlifted to hospital following Westhill cliff incident

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after she had an accident on a cliff at Westhill.

The ambulance service asked Hastings Coastguard Rescue Team and the coastguard rescue helicopter for assistance when two women were involved in an accident at 12.01pm.

The helicopter was deployed form The Lydd Airbase. Its crew winched one of the women on board.

One of the women is believed to have been walked away from the incident. The other woman was airlifted to the Conquest Hospital, in Hastings.

The incident concluded at 2.10pm.

The extent of the woman’s injuries are not yet known.
