Tickets are available from Hastings Tourist Information Centre or online at www 1066wineandfoodfestival.com priced £15.

The Festival got off to a bubbly start last week when famous wine critic and popular TV presenter Jilly Goolden opened the Festival in the historic ruins of Battle Abbey.

More than 1,000 people attended a Food Fair at the De La Warr Pavilion last Sunday.

The Festival is being organised on a non commercial basis by local volunteers with a love of wine and food and in promoting what 1066 country can offer in hospitality and tourism. Any surplus from events will go to local causes such as the food banks.
