Winchelsea donation to Demelza Hospice

Members of a community association have donated almost £2,000 to a children's hospice.

The Winchelsea Beach Community Association Bingo Section once again collected for Demelza House Hospice Care for Children at Home.

A total of £1,900 was raised during last year’s fortnightly bingo sessions.

The cheque was presented to Julie Brett, pictured centre, the fundraising organiser for Demelza House.

Demelza is a children’s hospice charity in the south east of the UK, providing vital care to families across East Sussex, Kent and South East London.

The Winchelsea Beach Community Association hosts events throughout the year.

The next bingo evening is set to take place at Winchelsea Beach Community Hall next Wednesday (February 24).
