Will Simon Cowell's call have Angmering students dancing for joy?

ANGMERING School students face a nervous wait to see if their stunning dance routines have earned them a session with Simon Cowell.

Thirty members of Fusion Dance Company (FDC), blending the talents of disabled and able-bodied students, auditioned for "Britain's Got Talent" at London's Earls Court on Saturday.

The performance followed a week of injuries, a broken foot, exhausting and extensive rehearsals, and was for the first round of the competition, assessed by one of the programme's producers.

Executive producers will now view FDC's video and make their decision in January on whether the students will go through to the televised stages of the competition.

Jo Hodson-Prior, the school's head of dance, said: "Despite having to queue and wait around, the day was really exciting and the students gave their performance 110 per cent, in spite of being extremely nervous."

The dance was based on themes of falling, catching and spiralling and was set to a soundtrack of Keane's "Spiralling".

Mrs Hodson-Prior added: "I was really proud of the all of the company members and feel this is FDC's most exciting piece to date. Hopefully we'll be showing Simon Cowell how fantastic we are next year!"
