Two friends annual Sponsored Wheelchair Push, will have raised over £5,000 for local homeless organisation Snowflake and Catholic charity, CAFOD.
St Leonard’s Grandfather-of-ten, Michael Richardson, 73, has taken part in this event alongside his friend Michael Haywood, 54, for four years, together they have raised over £5,000 for the two charities.
Michael Haywood, who started the whole thing said: “I wanted to raise money for good causes, I had this idea to go for CAFOD, who we support in our parish and Snowflake – a homelessness project in Hastings.
The pair will be setting off again on Saturday July 2 at 11.30am, with one Michael pushing the other from St Leonards to the Old Town.
Michael Richardson said: “Really it is just two old men and a wheelchair, doing what we can. We will continue to do this until we cannot physically any longer.”
