Sussex weather forecast for Tuesday, February 16

Sussex is set for a wet and windy day today (February 16) but temperatures continue to be milder than they have been.

A cloudy start this morning is expected to lead to gradually heavier rain into the afternoon, continuing until around 4pm, according to the Met Office.

The rain is forecast to make its way eastwards as the day progresses, with brighter skies appearing in the west.

Blustery wind could hit gusts of up to 37mph along the coast.

Temperatures could rise as high as ten degrees Celsius, but could feel a bit cooler due to the wind.

Overnight the weather will stay turbulent, with showers forecast to clear by midnight but for clouds to reappear into the early hours.

Temperatures should drop no lower than six degrees Celsius.
